A Nurturing Journey: Women's Creative Tour

Traveling together as women creates a vibrant network of support and understanding that can enhance the travel experience.

Our intimate tours provide the perfect backdrop for forging new connections, with opportunity for solitude and quiet reflection as well.

Each location and activity is chosen with authenticity and creativity in mind, from practising traditional customs and crafts, to exploring contemporary art and architecture, to immersing ourselves in the natural and cultural beauty of Japan.

Each day of discovery is anchored by a guided drawing session designed to suit the particular experiences and locations of the day.

These sessions are flexible enough to suit the needs of beginners and more experienced artists.

When we draw, we record not only what we see, but who we are and how we experience a particular moment in time. As well as learning useful techniques and strategies for perceptual drawing, we will use exploratory drawing exercises to help us connect more deeply with what we see and experience. We want our travelers to take home a unique and multi-faceted journal that brings their memories richly alive every time it is opened.

TOUR ONE $6500AUD

30th October - 8th November 2025

Starting and finishing in Osaka, this tour caters to those who wish to visit some of the lesser-known destinations of Japan.

In beautiful Koyasan, the secluded temple town that is the center of Shingon Buddhism, we will stay in a temple and join the morning meditation, before wandering the extraordinary historic surrounds with our visual journals. In the Ancient Capital of Kyoto, we will spend a couple of days exploring and drawing in the winding cobbled streets of the Higashiyama area and experiencing a traditional craft workshop. In the hot spring town of Kinosaki Onsen, we will spend 2 nights in a traditional Japanese Ryokan and relax in the 7 hot springs the town has to offer. We will then make our way south to the city of Okayama for a 1 night stopover before heading to the Art Islands. On Naoshima and Teshima we will spend a few days discovering some of the many contemporary museums and installations the islands are known for, before returning to Osaka for our final night.
